Agreement to these terms

These website terms of use apply to metadragons.com, which is operated by Metadragons LLC (“Meta Dragons,” “we,” “us”), 1209 Mountain Road Place NE, Suite C, Albuquerque, NM 87110. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms cover the website only. They do not govern any services we provide. See “Engagements are governed by separate written agreements” below.

Information only

The content on this site is general information about patents, the patent system, and our services. It is not tailored to your situation, and it may not be complete or current. Laws, rules, and USPTO fees change. Before you act on anything you read here, confirm it with official sources, such as USPTO.gov, and with a qualified professional.

Metadragons LLC is not a law firm and is not registered to practice before the USPTO. Nothing on this site is legal advice or a legal opinion, including any opinion on patentability, infringement, validity, or freedom to operate.

Using this site, e-mailing us, or calling us does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone. Your communications with us may not be protected by attorney-client privilege. For legal advice, consult a registered patent attorney or agent. If you don’t have one, we can share a list of independent practitioners to contact, and we receive no referral fees.

Commercial valuations and assessments described on this site are business estimates. They are not fairness opinions, tax appraisals, or investment advice. Our scope and disclosures page sets out in full what we do and do not do.

Engagements are governed by separate written agreements

We provide services only under a written quote and engagement terms that you accept, together with an NDA where one applies. Those documents govern the engagement. If they conflict with these terms, they control for that engagement. Our how we work page describes the process.

Service descriptions, typical turnarounds, and other content on this site are not offers or contract terms. Turnarounds are typical ranges, not commitments. Our engagement profiles are illustrative composites, not records of real engagements, and no outcome is guaranteed.

Free tools and reference material

Our maintenance-fee calculator, glossary, FAQ, and articles are provided for general information. The calculator is an administrative estimate based on published USPTO windows and fees. It does not know the status of any particular patent. Do not rely on it, or on anything else on this site, to meet a deadline. Always confirm fees and dates on USPTO.gov and with your practitioner before you pay.

Our intellectual property

The content of this site belongs to Metadragons LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. That includes text, illustrations, graphics, page design, and logos. The names Meta Dragons and Hoard identify our business and services.

You may view and print pages, share links, and quote brief excerpts for personal or internal business use, with attribution and a link to the source page. Without our written permission, you may not:

  • republish, sell, or license site content
  • modify it or create derivative works from it
  • use our names or logos in a way that suggests we endorse you or your products

Public documents and data that we cite, such as USPTO materials, remain subject to their own terms.

Acceptable use

When you use this site, you agree not to:

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. That includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metadragons LLC and its members, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of this site. The same applies to lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities, including those arising from reliance on its content or tools, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to your use of this site is limited to $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those jurisdictions, these limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted. This section does not affect any engagement agreement, which has its own terms.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms or your use of this site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you continue to use the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a provision, we have not waived it. These terms and our privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of this website.
